A Newspaper for Our Youth & Young at Heart
June 2026
In celebration of our nation's 250th, Atkinson Historical Society proudly presents its Summer 2026 edition of "Our Hometown, Atkinson, NH," created and written by Johanna St. Pierre. This edition focuses on Atkinson's involvement in the war and life in the town during that time period.
Suggestions for creative history-related projects for children are included in this issue. AHS invites kids, accompanied by an adult, to visit the Kimball House Museum this summer to learn more about the Revolutionary War Era and more!
Please join us in celebrating America's 250th anniversary by reading "Our Hometown, Atkinson, NH" and also visiting our exhibition, "The Revolutionary War Era: Life in Atkinson," at 3 Academy Ave. Included in this exhibition are works of art created by Atkinson Academy students!
